Services
Residential Services:
General Optimization Service – $50 or less – increase boot/login speed, provide better user experience, increase overall computer speed. Includes system setup (monitor, keyboard, mouse, and tower). Printer setup extra.
Virus/Spyware Removal – $50 to $100 – similar to General Optimization Service, plus removes most forms of malware. Price depends on type of viruses needing to be removed.
Data Recovery – $50 to $100 – Computer won’t boot? Need a backup? If your hard drive isn’t physically damaged (and sometimes if it is!), I may be able to recover your pictures and other precious data, without shipping off to an expensive data recovery specialist center.
Windows Operating System Re-install – $100 – Restore your computer to its factory settings, plus remove unnecessary cruft. Includes transferring your current data (up to 8 GB). More data may require your own external hard drive for back up.
Technical Consultation – Ask me anything you want about technology, usually at no charge. All I ask is that you let me set up any computer equipment that I help you purchase.
Printers – $20 to $30 – Set up a new printer, fix a printing error, install new ink cartridges, or pretty much anything else involving a printer.
General Computer Issues – Starting at $20 – I’ll answer your questions and solve your problems with Microsoft Office, Windows, or other computer programs.
Also ask about Unlimited Monthly Service! You may be eligible to pay a monthly fee of about $10 per computer (or other device) per month (minimum $20/month) and receive as much tech support as you want! Available to established clients only.
I charge per job, meaning if I don’t fix the problem, I don’t get paid. Most of the fees above usually equal about $20-$30/hour, but if I end up spending (for example) 8 hours on a virus removal, then you will only pay the price quoted before service ($50 to $100, instead of ~$200).
Business Services:
Get the same great services that I offer to residential customers, but at a flat $40 per hour rate. Minimum 1 hour per visit, billed in 15 minute increments thereafter. Call or email for a list of references.
Some issues can also be handled by connecting remotely to your computer. Same rates apply, but billed in half-hour increments. Most problems handled remotely can be solved in a half hour or less. ??Established clients may receive, at my discretion, a fair amount of free over-the-phone tech support, depending on the issue.
